While there are lots of great closeups of NGC 1491 (the Fossil Footprint Nebula) out there, I couldn't find more than a handful of shots where Sh2-205 was a main focus--and I certainly could not find any where someone was willing to invest 133 hours exposure time on it. So this may be the deepest image of Sh2-205 you'll ever see. I'm not sure whether that's a praiseworthy achievement or a shameful waste of time and good gear. You can decide. But as always, with the RedCat here at home in this Bortle 8 of North Dallas, I'm trying to find lesser-known narrowband targets--and perhaps provide a view of a piece of the sky few have seen. Whether anyone actually wants to see it is an entirely different matter.

This field also captures several other Sharpless objects including Sh2-206, 207, 208, and 209.

This image gives me a chuckle because it makes me think of the "golden arcs" in Coming to America--hence the title:
