Description

I was able to get out to Cherry Springs state park in Pennsylvania for some super dark skies and I'd be curious to see what people could do with my data. This is about 4 hours of RGB data of M16 and M17. I accidentally set some of the exposures wrong for the red and green channel, so that's why they say 180 seconds instead of 120 seconds on blue. I'm happy with my result, but I struggled with the amount of bright milky way dust in the image. If anyone would like to take a shot, I have uploaded the RGB masters to the google drive link below, they are .xisf format. Equipment is asi2600mm with chroma R/G/B filters and my William Optics Pleiades 68. Stars weren't perfect but blurX cleaned them up nicely. Thanks for looking and I look forward to seeing what people can come up with!
