Description

This globular cluster is located 24,000 light years away in the constellation of Aquila at a declination of +1 degrees.  It is a magnitude 10 cluster which spans 6 arc-minutes in our apparent view.  This corresponds to a diameter of 40 light years.

I like that the stars of this globular cluster are resolved in the core, as well as the dense background star field.
