Description

At a distance of about 2,500 light years, the so-called "Christmas Tree Cluster" is located in the constellation Unicorn.
More precisely, only the open star cluster in the centre, which is surrounded by reflection and emission nebulae, is called like this.
At the bottom of the image, the cone nebula stands out, a massive dark cloud in which new stars are possibly being born.

This is my first LRGB image, acquired with my ZWO ASI 2600MM Pro.
As weather hasn't been that good in the last months, I wasn't able to capture new images, mostly due to a lot of fog.
During christmas holidays, thankfully I had at least half of a clear night around new moon :-)
