Description

Here is my look at M33 The Triangulum Galaxy - the second image of mine looking at members of our local group (might be a while before I get through the 44 lesser DSO's and alas our Milky Way!). Hope you like.

Rev B - Updated profile of some of the larger stars as looked a little bloated. Masked stretch to the rescue

Rev C: AB has just updated ICC colour profiles so just testing with an embedded profile. All seems to be working for this image. Cheers S.

Rev D: Moved to AdobeRGB and sorted the clipping issue encountered at first attempt in Rev C: If you are converting images profiles take care as some programs seem quite aggressive during the conversion. Happier with this version now.

Rev E - Final update my fav version with slightly less saturation and not quite so black a background. Will leave D as final as IoD version.

The Triangulum Galaxy is a spiral galaxy approximately 3 million light-years (ly) from Earth in the constellation Triangulum. It is catalogued as Messier 33 or NGC 598, and is sometimes informally referred to as the Pinwheel Galaxy, a nickname it shares with Messier 101. The Triangulum Galaxy is the third-largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, which includes the Milky Way, the Andromeda Galaxy and about 44 other smaller galaxies. It is one of the most distant permanent objects that can be viewed with the naked eye. (Wikipedia)
