Description

I captured the Rosette Nebula from my backyard which has a SQM of 18.23 earlier this year. I recently purchased the NoiseXTerminator and StarXterminator products for PixInsight and for the first time I used them in my narrowband processing workflow. Here are the details :

Center Coordinates :
RA    6 31 55

Date : Feb 14 2022
SHO: 300s exposures 120gain 20 offset


Linear Processing 
  1. WBPP
  2. STF
  3. Perform  Linear Fit with Ha as reference; monitoring the HT graph for each image
  4. Dynamic Background Extraction for each filter
  5. NoiseXTerminator for each filter
  6. Create color masks for Red, Green, Cyan, Magenta
  7. StarXTerminator for each filter; split workflow for star and starless
  8. PixelMath combination for RGB:SHO mapping

Non-Linear Processing
  1. Application of color masks
  2. Histogram Transformation
  3. Curves Transformation
  4. SCNR
  5. Curves Transformation

Stars
  1. Histogram Transformation
  2. Curves Transformation (saturation, little lum adjustments)

Combine star and starless images with Photoshop Blend  Pixel Math 
  1. Dark Structures Enhance
  2. Color Saturation (little increase)
