Shot unguided at f/2.8
Well this is the first image I produced with my new ultra wide field setup with the ASI1600 and the Samyang 135 f/2 lens. I wasn't really happy with the lens at first to be honest, tinkering here and there to eventually try and get stars as perfect as my Esprit 100. In the end I didn't use it for astrophotography for 3-4 months because I was disappointed.
Looking back at it I was too ambitious with the lens. I forgot, that pixel peeping isn't everything and I just mentally decided that I'd just try to do at least one complete image and boy was that a good decision. I'm so happy with the result, I cannot even fathom why I spend so much time doing test shots to get the stars perfect when I could have just been taking some beautiful images with it.
Well one never stop learning
Leason learned: Yes, getting the basics (like spacing) right is important, but after that is done just use your gear!
