Description

The Wizard Nebula (NGC 7380) sits on the border between the constellations of Cassiopeia and Cepheus. My present rendition started as a SHO Hubble palette (SII, Ha, and OIII data channels) processed in PixInsight and tone mapped in Adobe Photoshop.

It has been a very tough Fall for collecting data in the Northeastern USA and this target required two moon cycles to get sufficient data. A lot of the OIII data in particular had low SNR due to moonlight, hence the long integration.
