Description

This is a close-up of NGC 869, a cluster within the Double Cluster. Its partner, NGC 884, is out of this field of vision. Together, they make the Double Cluster which resides by the northern sky constellation, Perseus. This particular star shine has traveled over 7,000 light years to be captured and now it shines from the screen in front of you.This photo was imaged at the Trottier Observatory of Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada.
