Description

NGC 1530 galaxy in Camelopardalis

It's a barred spiral galaxy about 80-112 million light years away from us, according to different sources. It is one of the biggest galaxies in the north. Inside the core we can se darker spiral structure, which is believed to be either hot red supergiants or glowing dust. Outside we can see two main spiral arms and one of them is splitting into two.

In the background we can see lot's of visually small galaxies and all of the stars in the image are inside our own galaxy.

Imaged over 4 nights, unfortunately not the greatest ones and as a result the resolution and tiny details were affected. And light pollution from the city denied possibility to have better contrast on spiral arms.
