Description

The Tarantula Nebula, NGC 2070,  is a star forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud. It is one of the largest star forming regions in the local group. The embedded star cluster R136 causes the entire nebula complex to glow. It also contains two of the most massive stars known, each over 150 solar masses.

Imaged at the WAA Southern Observatory at Hakos Astrofarm.
