Description

This image was taken over two nights in September 2024 with an ASI2600mm Pro through an Explore Scientific 127ED on an EQ6-R Pro mount.

The image comprises:

L:      145   x   120s
R:       30    x   120s
G:       30    x   120s
B:       30    x   120s

Total integration time was seven hours and 50 minutes. The image was captured with APT, processed in Pixinsight, and tweaked in Photoshop.

Fall sky galaxies!  NGC 7331 is an unbarred spiral galaxy roughly 40 million light years away. Stephan's Quintet comprises NGC 7320, NGC 7319, NGC 7318 and NGC 7317. Four of these (all but NGC 7320) are physically interacting with each other and form Hickson Compact Group 92.
