Description

NGC 7538 is an emission nebula featured relatively frequently on astrobin, but rarely it is in the center of the attention. Often you can find it in the outskirts of an image, usually focussing on the Bubble Nebula NGC7635 or the Lobster Claw Sh2-157. Undeservingly so, as NGC7538 is not only a nice feature-rich nebula, it also hosts a protostar with one of the most massive circum stellar  accretion disks found so far - 14000 AU or 300 times the diameter of the Solar system.

Here an SHO image, which focusses soley on NGC7538 and give it the attention it deserves.

data were taken on Agust 12,12,14, and 16
