Description

In keeping with everyone's advice for first-time total eclipse watchers, I avoided playing with my camera.  I set it on the tripod, guesstimated the framing, and snapped a frame every 5 minutes or so.  I kind of goofed on the framing.  I did just barely get the beautiful prominence at the 7 o'clock position on the disk, but only one pixel of it!    The framing of the sequence was determined purely by the timing.  No attempt was made to track the Sun, either in real-time or in processing.  What you see is what I saw.  The frames were superimposed with a maximum function.

The location was the public event at the Miramichi, NB, airport, where about 15,000 people enjoyed absolutely perfect eclipse-watching weather.
