Description

This is SH2-308, in Canis Major, sometimes called the Dolphin-Head Nebula, a huge cosmic bubble blown from a huge Wolf-Rayet star in the center of the dolphin which is likely to go supernova in the future. The star has ejected material which creates the very faint ionized oxygen blue green bubble. It includes 19 hours of exposures combining 9 hours with an 80mm APO and the ASI294MC PRO from 2022 with 10 hours of exposures with an AT115EDT and an ASI2600MC PRO from 2023 from a Bortle 7 suburban sky, processed in APP and PS.
