Description

In the constellation of Monoceros lies a pair of beautiful nebula just east of Orion Constellation, Top left is the famous Rosette Nebula, and the bottom right is the NGC 2264 which contains the Christmas tree cluster and Cone Nebula. Often people capture these objects individually with medium focal length but with a wide angle, you can capture the true beauty of it to see how both are connected. The Rosette Nebula is an emission nebula, a large star-forming region located in the constellation Monoceros, the Unicorn. The nebula is a large cloud of gas and dust that lies near a large molecular cloud and is closely associated with the open cluster NGC 2244, whose stars were formed from the nebula’s matter in the last five million years.

The Christmas Tree Cluster is a young open cluster located in the constellation Monoceros. It is part of the NGC 2264 region, along with the Cone Nebula and the Fox Fur Nebula, and belongs to the Monoceros OB1 association, a loose association of very young stars located in the Orion Arm of the Milky Way.
