Description

A remote and fascinating corner of the universe: the Cone Nebula, a stellar formation region located in the constellation Monoceros. Its characteristic red color is due to ionized hydrogen, illuminated by the energy of nearby stars. The conical shape, which makes it unique, is a cloud of gas sculpted by radiation and stellar winds, which shape the gas and dust.
This nebula is a perfect example of how the universe manages to combine chaos and beauty in an endless cosmic dance.
