Description

At a distance of about 600 light-years, the two nebulae IC 59 and IC 63 dissolve under the influence of ionized ultraviolet radiation from the hot, actually blue-glowing star Gamma Cas. It is an irregularly variable star about three to four light-years distant from these nebulae in the constellation of Cassiopeia.
