Description

Messier 70 (NGC 6681) is a globular cluster in the constellation Sagittarius. It is about 29,000 light years from Earth and is similar in size and luminosity as M69, which Messier discovered on the same night. Like M69, M70 is a class V globular cluster. It’s estimated that M70 is 12.8 billion years old.
