Description

This image is special to me for several reasons...

To the average viewer this image is of course not anything special. And I'd agree, it's just a basic shot of Comet Leonard. However, this was not only my first ever closeup of a comet, it was also my first ever picture taken with my brand new astro camera, the ZWO ASI 1600mm pro!!
Best decision I've ever made, I can fully recommend this camera to anyone willing to get into this hobby.
Why tho did I mention the poor conditions in my title? Well...it was early dezember when i shot this. We had our first snow fall the same night and I was absolutely itching to finally get to shoot this object. I decided to wake up at 4am in the morning and went outside to a nearby field to shoot this target. It was already setting, maybe only sitting 20° above the horizon and facing right into a Bortle 7 lightdome..Yikes.
The final image still turned out great, despite all of the LP.
