Description

In the constellation of Cassiopeia there is this wonderful sogject composed of the open cluster NGC654 7800 years away. and the dark nebulae LDN1334, LDN1332, and LDN1337.
The cluster is made up of around sixty stars aged between 10 and 20 million years, in addition to a red giant there is a blue giant surrounded by a blue reflection nebula Vdb6.
Dark nebulae are a mix of gas and stellar dust and a place of star formation.
The darkness is due to the relatively dense material in the nebula blocking light from the stars behind it.
