Movable truss pier on wobbly roof terrace

Description

I have a great roof terrace facing south and offering 150 degree view,
BUT it ha s wobbly wooden deck on it.

So I have been trying for a while
- to have a mobile setup I can move inside unless I stargaze
- not to suffer from the wobbly ground to ruin the images
- still being able to breathe and move around if necessary

To achieve that I needed
- the pillar to be disconnected from the wobbly wooden deck
- a quasi permanent pillat that can stay outside and yet host my gear

The solution:
- underneath the wooden deck 3x 6“ alloy plates resting on the concrete base
- each carrying a M10 threaded bar
- which is terminated with an M10 long bolt that offers a cavity on top for the pier to be stuck in
- the mobile pillar rests losely on 3x M8 bolts in the cavity of the M10 bolt with 3 M8
- a star like base structure of 3 alloy 8x3cm bars carries the truss pier
- each of the 3 star like base bars are tightly connected to the truss to eliminate vibrations
- on top of the truss pier the AM5 mount connection is bolted to the pier
- marks on the truss allow for identical placement of the mount and thus save polar aligning each night

Setting up takes about 5 minutes, as only the mount and the scope need to be place on top of the pier.

Works beautifully - even though not as perfect as a concrete filled steel bar, but allows the terrace to serve its original purpose as well and does take care of most vibrations, ie. I may breathe and move around, just not stepdance :-)
