Description

In Southern England we've had a string of clear nights but they all coincided with a practically full moon. I decided to capture data for a couple more panels regardless, the panel that included the Tuplip worked out well. However the data for the panel above it was noisy and it's giving me troubles when trying to stitch a 6 panel mosaic together. I think I'll have to re-shoot that particular one. These are the bottom three panels of that mosaic, 6 hours each for a total of 18 hours.

I tried out a few new things during processing. Previously I had been using Star Alignment and then merging with Gradient Merge Mosaic, this time I plate solved the individual panels and then used the Photometric Mosaic Script to combine them, thanks to @Tim Hutchison for the explanation of the process: https://youtu.be/urcTP3IMg1I

I tried to use a lighter hand when processing this one, just some noise reduction, curves and colour adjustments. Also, for the first time I didn't remove the stars during processing and instead used Bill Blanshan's star reduction tools. Thanks to both Bill and @Luke Newbould for the explanation: https://youtu.be/rM3-yAcAbZc

Thanks for looking
