Description

A massive starfield in the constellation Cassiopeia. At center is NGC 225, an open cluster. It is located roughly 2,200 light-years from Earth. It is about 100 to 150 million years old. Close by is van den Bergh (vdB) 4 a reflection nebula. Numerous Lynd's light and dark nebulae are included, along with planetary nebula Sh2 179, emission nebula Sh2 180, and open cluster NGC 189. Clouds of hydrogen alpha surreound these objects.
