CometAnimation-1-1.mp4 Okay, so I followed Deep Space Astro's videos about how to do a comet animation. I did the exact thing with my A3 Tsuchinshan Atlas Comet sub-frames. And when I checked the footage, the comet went upwards instead of downwards. And I don't know why it isn't goes downwards. Does anyone know the answer to this? Is it because of the movement of the comet, or is it because of the device I used, the Seater S50, and how it took the subframes? Or there's simply something I didn't do afterwards. Also, sorry if the resolution is bad; I had to reduce the file size cause the forum won't let me show it to you guys publicly. |

The comet is actually traveling upwards. The tail mostly just points away from the sun, not related to what direction the comet is traveling. Very nice video btw! |

Daniel Vancura: Oh, so that's how it is. So it's because while the earth is making the comet go downwards as the day goes on, it is not. So it's the movement of the comet, then. I was taught I did something wrong here or I missed something, which I don't know how. |

That's very cool and yes, it's just the motion of the comet against the background stars. |
