Description

Added another 36 hours of narrowband data to this target hoping to get more detail around the outside of the eye. Also chose a different palette mix for this one.

This target is NGC 7293 or more commonly known as the Helix Nebula or Eye of God or Eye of Sauron. It is a planetary nebula formed by the expanding shell of glowing gas around a dying low-mass star. It is located in the constellation Aquarius and is about 650 light-years away with a diameter of about 2.5 light-years.

This has been a massive project both in time (18 days spread over 4 months) and data acquired and I hope I have done it justice.
