Description

NGC 7814, also known as the "Little Sombrero," is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Pegasus, located about 40 million light-years from Earth. It resembles a smaller version of the famous Sombrero Galaxy (M104) because of its prominent central bulge and edge-on disk appearance.

NGC 7814 has a distinct dust lane along its disk, which is visible even though it’s seen edge-on. This galaxy is part of the Caldwell catalog and is notable for its bright core and detailed structure.
