Description

This star-rich image is viewed in the southern-view of the Milky Way from my location and just above Sagittarius.  It contains M11 (the Wild Duck Cluster) in the corner.  The Scutum portion of the Milky Way is visible in the summer with the naked eye from my back porch and even looks great in binoculars.  I used a RASA 11 though and created this 2×2 mosaic  in RGB visual color to showcase the sheer amount of stars in this one location.  This glittery image is worth looking at on a full-size computer monitor and zooming around.
