Description

The ASI2600MM arrived this afternoon and for big surprise the weather got unexpectedly clear, late at night when was about to go in bed... The temptation was irresistible despite that I had just few hours sleep in the previous night and that Moon was near the horizon decided to give a short test

So I have managed to take one image with QHY22 (left) and with ASI2600MM (right). The Moon was about several minutes to rise when the QHY exposure was ready. It took some time to switch the cameras, cool, refocus the main camera and the guide. Definitely the sky was noticeably brighter during the second exposure.

One 600s exposure on NGC 6543, with each camera, Astrodon OIII-3n, auto-stretch in PI.

It is clear that the new technology gives more faint data... The QHY22 served me well for more than 8 years and it will still be in help for the APT development, however there is new workhorse to take the duty
