Description

The galaxy NGC 7497 is located in an area surrounded by large dust clouds known as Galactic Cirrus. These clouds are composed of interstellar dust, which is situated in the foreground relative to the galaxy and scatters light. These dust formations are part of our own galaxy—the Milky Way—and are located at a much closer distance from us compared to NGC 7497.

The Galactic Cirrus appears as thin, fibrous structures in images, adding depth to the scene and creating a "hazy" effect. In these dust clouds, starlight is scattered, making them visible even though they emit very little light of their own.

In the immediate vicinity of the galaxy NGC 7497, traces of dust filaments and faint reflection nebulae can also be detected, which may alter the perception of the galaxy, especially in deeper astrophotographic exposures.
