Description

whilst waiting for Saturn to Clear the Eastern Tree line i chose  this deep southern Globular which  is one  of my favorite Southern  visual gems.  I've see a lot  on concentrated Globular's with their cores burnt out  so wanted to avoid doing so. With  a "Low " gain  of 250 and 2 second subs i hoped to give the core  of this small  but bright globular a decent hearing.
At Mag 7.34 and a diameter  of 11 min  this GB lays  at 38Kly giving a absolute mag  or -8 !!!!
In contrast  M Centuari  sits at 263 light years ( actually a spectroscopic binary )  and has paltry  absolute magnitude  of +0.1. Cheers
