Description

This is a multi night exposure of Fireworks Galaxy taken from the town of Montrose colorado over a span of few nights. The actual data I took is about 200 minutes more, but due to rejection and dew had to cut it all down to about 190 exposures which comes to about 950 minutes.

This is my first deep sky serious attempt with the Edge HD 11" I acquired recently. I have a GEM45, and this setup of mine weights around 44lbs. So with about 50lbs counterweights, I can balance the mount. Can almost feel it groaning. It guides at about 0.6" with this weight, and so my stars are not as tight as they could have been. So BlurX to the win I guess.

I did add the location as Montrose, but Astrobin keeps trying to make it as Grand Junction,CO. I guess close enough

That said, being from the west coast I have never encountered dew so aggressive. My battery box was filled with water as if it was in the rain. Luckily the mini PC was in a DIY tupperware box and remained dry. The mount was dripping wet, yet works fine.

The edge has water spots inside and outside on the corrector plate. Need to get that down and clean it I guess
