Description

6 Panel Mosaic

Decided I needed to give my current mount one last hurrah before ordering a new one. One month later... Here we are

Had to take a two week break due to all the smoke from the fires on the west coast.

My favorite supernova remnant, a star that was once 20 times more massive than our own sun reached the end of its life and exploded in a violent supernova. The resulting super remnant now spans 110 light years across. The total structure is roughly 6 times the diameter of the full moon in our night sky. The blue areas represent areas of strong oxygen emissions, while the orange represent a mixture of hydrogen and sulfur emissions.
