This year's hike to Planneralm in Styria/Austria @ 1600 was only with light gear (Minitrack LX3) and only one clear - but turbulent - night out of a five days stay. To top it, after 2 hours clouds rolled in ... so after setup, framing and adjustments, this resulted in a bare 30min of keepers, stressing the LX3 with 40s each of unguided exposures. Note that this attempt already had my trusty 60D astro-modded, so there is plenty of Ha emission content in the pic and more nebula detail, compared to the
first quick try last year (un-modded). Stars are somewhat bloated, which I attribute to turbulence (and -- hopefully -- not the optical system), as I took pains to get good focus (which is a little tricky with the Samyang due to the short focussing haul). Nevertheless, it is an improvement over last year, so I'm quite happy with this depiction of an impressive supernova remnant :-)
