Description

From the front in a suburban area, you can get some decent images.

I hooked the 150mm Irix macro lens to my old Nikon D610, put the assembly on a Star Adventurer 2i, and started shooting for 2 nights.

On the first night I used an Optolong UHC filter to reduce the light pollution, but the final result presented walking noise, and on the second night I removed the filter and did some manual dithering to see how the image will turn out.

The first set of data acquired using the filter was done at f/2.8, and setting the camera at ISO3200, while for the second set of data I lowered the aperture to f/4, and the ISO to 800. This shows how much light pollution there is and how good the filter cuts it.
