Description

IC 417 & NGC 1931,commonly known as the Spider and Fly Nebula, are located in the constellation Auriga.  The large nebula on the right is the Spider (IC 417) and the small nebula on the left is the Fly (NGC 1931). These nebulae are composed of clouds of dust and gas and are incubators for new star formations. It's these star formations that cause the nebula centers to glow.
