Description

Peeking Thru Nebula SH2-27 to Image Globular Cluster M107

SH2-27 is a large nebule, Stellarium lists it as 8 x 4 Degrees  but
I found estimates nearly twice that size.  It's Distance is not
well defined but believed to be around 500 LY away.  That would
make it about 100 LY in diameter.  At 20,900 LY, M107 is far beyond
SH2-27 so you're imaging it through the nebula.  It contains 100,000
stars and has estimated age of 13.95 Billion years making it one of
the oldest know objects in our region of the universe even before
the time of Fred Flintstone!
