Description

SH2-140

Wiki: Sharpless 140 is an H II region and emission nebula in the Cepheus constellation, 3,000 light years from the Solar System.  It is part of the Cepheus bubble. The surface of the nebula's clouds primarily consists of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
It is on the southwest edge of the Lynds 1204 darn nebula. It is also on the edge the Cephus Ring, a ring of molecular gas and dust.

Very difficult image to process, lots of faint areas !
I used a stack from a blue filter to add blue to the Oiii stack, this made the blue areas better. So this is a combo "narrow band/wide band" image.

I may collect more Oiii subs and maybe more Sii subs if the weather permits. An image in a faint area needs a lot of data to bring out detail.

Version C: I stretched the stars more, maybe now it can be plate solved.
