Description

The Angelfish Nebula appears to be the head of Orion.  This is part of the giant Orion Molecular Cloud at a distance of about 1400 light years.  Hydrogen in the cloud is stimulated into emission by young hot blue stars notably Meissa, lambda Orionis.  Red is Hydrogen alpha plus Hydrogen beta.  Green and blue are Oxygen III.  Sulphur II is added equally to red, green, and blue.
