Description

This image displays two open clusters that couldn't be more different from each other. On the left lies Melotte 78 also known as Caldwell 71; one of the best open clusters to observe being so compact with small stars that it resembles a globular cluster. On the right is VDBH 9, a sparse open cluster dominated by visibly larger stars. VDBH 9 actually consists of two open clusters that happen to lie along the same line of sight as seen from Earth.

Thought this would make a nice target due to the nebulosity surrounding the clusters making for an interesting scene.
