Description

Draco trio: NGC 5981, NGC 5982 & NGC 5985

From left to right are face-on class SBb spiral galaxy NGC 5985,  the elliptical galaxy NGC 5982 and the edge-on class SB spiral galaxy NGC 5981. These galaxies are roughly 125 million light-years away. The faint, sharp-edged shells surrounding elliptical NGC 5982 suggests evidence of past galactic mergers. Numerous other more distant galaxies are visible throughout the field.
Image captured with the Officina Stellare ProRC 700 telescope and FLI PL16803 camera from Telescope Live in IC Astronomy Observatory, Oria, Spain.

Total integration time 320 minutes.
LRGB: 12 subs of 300s and 2 subs of 600s with each filter
Dataset Telescope Live.
