Description

NGC7727 is a peculiar galaxy (listed as Arp 222) and is gravitationally bound to the much smaller NGC7724 galaxy. It is probably the result of a colision of two galaxies about 1 Bio years ago. Its distance is, depending on the calculation somewhere between 78 and 87Mio LJ and its diameter about 120000LJ. Interesting is that it has two galactic nuclei, two centers with two Black Holes, about 1600LJ apart.
