Description

A bit of an unusual processing approach for this image as I am getting slightly tired of the Hubble palette
After processing the nebula in a typical SHO manner, I tried an HOO version and seeing the color and contrast differences in the core, I decided to try a screen blend of the two images. I think the outcome is pretty nice, especially as orange is one of my favorite colors.
To the acquisition: This fall has not been gentile to us west coast imagers, at least not in my area. Much more clouds and humidity during the nights. For counting average seeing, I almost didn't need both hands or all fingers thereof. I blame the softness of the image all to the seeing conditions. While drizzling x2 and using BXT helped some, I think this target could show much more detain with my rig. Well, good all these targets come back a year later...
