Fairly new to astrophotography, but long time astronomy/space nerd. Only in AP for about 18 months as of July 2023. I have learned a lot from watching what people are doing here on Astrobin, and a few other communities. Still learning tons from nearly every session and enjoying the hobby a lot.

I am lucky to have a Bortle 3+ (It really is kind of in the middle between 3 and 4), in a semi-rural area with no streetlights at about 850m elevation in the dry Southwestern U.S. These conditions give me good clear sky, and my main limitation is wind.

All shooting is currently done on a 8inch F5 carbon-fiber Newtonian with an ASI533MCP Camera. (more recently an ASI2600MC Duo) .
