My Dad: "Bill" Marples 1926-1983: BOSS team (Marples, Bock, Parker, Pearl, Drescher, Downs): Patrick Moore, John Dobson, the late Rev Robert (Bob) Evans - Visual Supernova sleuth, Pranvera Hyseni, the late Erwin Vandervelden - imager superb, gone but never forgotten.
Inflight "Astronomer" for a local airline with my friend Terry Lovejoy (Comet discoverer) for the 1986 Halley's Comet return.
Visual observation with my friend and BOSS team member Greg Bock of the "G" impact plume from Shoemaker-Levy 9 with Jupiter in 1994 & subsequent "black-eye" rotating into view. No camera grrr!
2007 seeing the most amazing Comet ever!: C/2006 P1McNaught as it graced a flat Western horizon!
