I became interested in astronomy as a little boy watching the Apollo landings on the moon.
One thing led to another and I built an 8" Newt when I was in high school.
Did mostly visual, tried some astrophography, but it was an exercise in futility, back then.
Life got busy and I dropped my astronomy interest until a few years ago,
when the digital revolution made astrophotography possible for amateurs in a big way!
