Description

This is IC410, in Auriga, often called the Tadpoles Nebula because of the two tadpole shaped streamers which are in the top left of this image. Each of these tadpoles is about 10 light years in length, energized by the nearby cluster of stars that has ionized the nebula and shaped them. They are likely a source of new star formation from a relatively young star cluster estimated at less than 3 million years old. May you discover your tadpoles when spring comes this year!
A total of 7.5 hours of exposures were captured with the two dual narrowband filters in creating this image. I hope to capture more of the SII and incorporate it in this image since it is clearly the weakest part of the narrowband signal.

Title: IC410 - The Auriga Tadpoles

Description: I added another 3.9 hours exposure (total 11.4 hours with both filters) with the D2 filter (SII/OIII) to enhance the sulfur and oxygen signal, and chose another base formula for the SHO image.
