Many of my favourite images are those of dark nebula and general space dust but I'm aware that they're not easy targets.
A fool's errand perhaps but I wanted to see if I could image this sort of thing from my bortle 6 back garden. I was inspired by a couple of images,

@Phil Wright. Phil has similar equipment and sky conditions to me and it gave me hope that I might be able to capture something.
I gave myself a fighting chance and put in more integration time than I have on anything else so far, 15 hours. Processing was hard fought, I did a few iterations and couldn't make up my mind as to which was best.
In conclusion I think it's doable providing I don't push my data too hard as well as manage my expectations, I can't expect the same results from those taken at dark locations.
Having said that I'm pretty happy with it considering the challenges. The skies at my parents house are a little darker and so I might have a session there at some point for comparison's sake.
