Description

NGC 2903 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Leo and was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel in 1784.
It is one of the brightest galaxies in the northern hemisphere, despite its rather large distance of 21.5 million light years. This photo has been taken at Athos Star Campus on the island La Palma.
