Description

While I enjoy imaging galaxies, I am always happy when the galactic plane constellations start rising early enough to image their emission content.  The Crescent Nebula is usually one of the first objects I point my telescope to this time of year.  Cygnus is full of interesting gas and nebula, including the Crescent and the faint Soap Bubble planetary nebula which is just below the center of this field of view.   I think you can just point anywhere at Cygnus and get an interesting picture.
